Diagnose
Wing (relatively) dark with pale spots, generally characterized by limited contrast.
Presence of macrotichea distally. Crossvein with pale spot. Second radial cell overlaid by pale spot and joined eyes are diagnostic characters for the subgenus Avaritia.
Distribution of sensilla coeloconica on antennomeres : 3, 11 to 15.
Presence of 2 functional spermathecal bodies plus one rudimentary spermathecal body, with a small, well marked duct associated to a sclerotized ring.
